What are employee assessments?
- Employee assessments are reviews or performance evaluations used to examine the employee’s productivity and performance. These assessments test their skills, aptitude and personality.
- The reason those employee assessments are carried out is usually for compensation evaluation purposes, development of performance, terminations, promotions etc.
The measurement of employee assessment:
Human resource management oversees employment assessments to ensure that development can be put into place if needed and they keep an eye on and observe what the employees are doing and make sure that they are doing what is expected from them. Methods of measurements can be:
- Feedback from superiors, peers and from the employee themselves.
- The SWOT analysis - examining the strengths and weaknesses of the employees separately.
