What is recruitment?

Recruitment is in reference to the method of attracting, identifying, selecting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding staff/ employees. It can be said that recruitment includes everything like the identification of an employee needed to fill it.

Recruitment can depend on the size of a company, it is the responsibility of lots of employees/ workers. Within a larger organisation, they may have big teams of recruiters, whereas some may only have a single recruiter. In a small organisation, the recruiting manager may be the only person responsible for recruitment. There are many companies that also outsource recruitment from external firms.

Candidates for new job roles are normally always recruited from advertisements, social media sites, job boards, and others. Organizations utilize recruiting software to have a more effective and efficient source for high related candidates for the job role.
