What is Management bandwidth?
Management Bandwidth is the resources and fixed time that higher/senior managers in an organisation possess. When the roles and responsibilities of leaders are discussed it is usually often said that lots of leaders take on more duties that they realistically can commit to and are not reasonable.
The decision-makers in a business are senior managers, therefore, they have a massive impact on the industry compared to the employees as a whole. This is the reason that they have to ensure that they take their time carefully, to make sure that decisions that are being made are based on informed reasoning. There may be a negative impact on the business if senior managers do not give their time fairly in order to make decisions.
The word bandwidth comes from information technology, this is the amount of data that a communications line can transmit.
