What is Agency Worker Regulations?
- Put into place for short term employees/ workers to get rights to the same pay and conditions within the workplace. Same as a permanent worker would get.
- Temporary workers/ employees that have been working at a company for over 12 weeks can then be entitled to having the same pay and conditions in the workplace.
- The rights that a worker or an employee would get from the start is the following: protection against discrimination, National minimum wage entitlement and at least a minimum of 5.6 weeks’ holiday entitlement.
- Some of the right of a worker/employees that has been working over 12 weeks are: holiday, pay, sick leave, rest breaks and working hours, parental time off etc.
