What is a Competency Model? Examples & Benefits

A competency model is a specific instruction designed by a Human Resource bureau. This states the specific skills, behavioural requirements and knowledge that allows employees to successfully complete their job roles.

  • Competency models establish the performance the way it should look within a company for every job role.
  • The model is there to help the recruitment practices, training, performance evaluation and talent management.
