What is the career path?
A career path is a progression from a number of jobs that lead you to your desired career job goals and aims. Some people may focus on one job industry and build their way up to their career goals. However, some people may get jobs in different industries to achieve their desired goals.
- Career goals are mostly to achieve a job role at a higher level and to get to a position in a higher-level job you build your way up from your current job.
- For an example of a career path, if you want to become a headteacher you would start your job as a teacher and build your way up to deputy headteacher and then your career goal as a headteacher.
